"The Volvo Trucks brand named “Most awarded advertiser 2014

The Volvo Group came out on top when marketing magazine Ad Age ranked the most celebrated advertisers in the world during 2014. The ranking is the result from the nine most respected communication competitions globally, where the Volvo Trucks brand and its “Live Test Series” campaign, including the Epic Split with Jean-Claude Van Damme, has received numerous awards.


“It should almost be impossible for a truck brand to get any recognition on this global arena, in competition with the world’s biggest consumer product companies – now we win it all. An amazing ending of a successful year. This is the result of great teamwork, a long term strategy, creative communication and of course fantastic trucks,” says Per Nilsson, Director PR and media relations for the Volvo Trucks brand.   

The campaign includes six Live Test videos for YouTube, which demonstrate the innovative features of the new truck series in spectacular ways. The videos have more than 100 million views on YouTube and have been shared nearly 8 million times. There have been over 20,000 reports about the campaign in media worldwide, and the estimated earned publicity value is 126 million euros.

When surveyed, almost half the truck buyers who have seen the videos say it is now more likely that they will choose Volvo the next time they purchase a truck.
